Self-Care

We often remind ourselves and our families that self-care isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity. Guided by the Equimotional Wellbeing Framework, self-care means recognising when our ‘cup’ is empty and knowing it’s okay to take time out to refill.
Whether it’s pausing to breathe, setting healthy boundaries, or saying no when you need to, these small acts of self-kindness make a big difference. Self-care is also about being aware of what triggers stress or overwhelm and giving yourself permission to step back when needed.
Our equine partners remind us of this every day. They live authentically—resting when they need to, expressing their needs, and respecting each other’s boundaries within their herds. These beautiful animals model what it means to care for oneself without guilt or hesitation.
